Dundalk Credit Union was founded in 1968 by Fr. Frank Donnelly and since then it has grown to become one of the most successful and secure Credit Unions in Ireland. Dundalk Credit Union main services are providing a savings and loan package to over 24,000 members. From a lending perspective they have an excellent rate of 6.99% on all loans. In terms of savings we pay a competitive dividend backed up by a Government Guarantee of €100,000 and the strong reserves of Dundalk Credit Union. Credit Unions were introduced to Ireland in 1958 and have been growing in size and strength ever since. Credit Unions aim to support local communities by putting people before profit. Indeed our only shareholders are the members themselves.
