Super Saturday returns this June Bank Holiday with fun events for all, including Craft & Food Market, Art in Action workshops with The Crafty Rock, Family Treasure Hunt, and a ‘Big Prize Giveaway’ where one lucky winner takes it all!
10am-5pm:
Artisan Craft & Food Market – discover delicious food and bespoke handmade Irish gifts as the finest local craft & food producers arrive at Market Square in Dundalk Town Centre. There will also be live demonstrations in Pottery & Basket Weaving taking place throughout the day in the marquee
11am-3pm:
Lots of fun for budding crafters on Super Saturday at the Art in Action children’s workshops (€2 each) with The Crafty Rock in An Táin Arts Centre in Dundalk! This year the focus will be on Jewellery | Card Making | Yarn and Fabric Crafts |
11am-1.30pm:
Family Treasure Hunt – Registration starts at 11am in Dundalk Tourist Office on Market Square, Dundalk. All you have to do is find the letters and unscramble the hidden words, the winning team will win €100 in Shop Local Vouchers, kindly sponsored by Dundalk Chamber.
2pm-2.30pm:
Who will March with Queen Maeve? Will You?
Sat 2nd June 
The local community are invited to actively participate in the #TáinMarch as it arrives in #Dundalk -> come to Oriel Park (Dundalk FC) at 12.30pm and join the Marchers & Warriors, dress for battle, get your warrior face-paint on and then march with the parade into the town centre to Market Square accompanied by Queen Maeve & her band of drummers! The Táin March Festival re-enactment will take place in Market Square at 2pm where Cúchulainn awaits with a dramatic display of bravery.
Super Saturday is a celebration of independent retailers in our town – we have a long and proud tradition of independent businesses in Dundalk and this Saturday many businesses will have special offers in-store for their customers!

••Art in Action Schools Competition 2018••
Over the past 6 weeks primary school pupils in Dundalk & surrounding areas have been busy preparing for our Super Saturday Art in Action Schools Competition! School children were invited to create artwork based on the theme ‘Dundalk – Where Great Things Happen’
The ‘Overall Winner’ of the competition will be announced this Saturday & they will WIN an action packed visit to Carlingford Adventure Centre for their ENTIRE CLASS! (T&Cs)
Another of the fantastic competition prizes is an hour-long Art & Craft Workshop with Bridge Street Studios for an entire class to get totally submerged in ART in the most creative arty place in town!
