Refocusing the perception of Dundalk as a cultural focal point.
Seek is a contemporary urban arts festival, centred around promoting visual arts in Dundalk over a five year period by commissioning established and emerging artists, locally, nationally and from abroad, to help promote the town culturally and artistically, repositioning the area as a vibrant hub for creativity.
Overview
Seek 2020 takes place between the 1st and 8th of August and will highlight the important influence art can have in the public domain, its role as a catalyst for change, helping reinvigorate and refresh some of our town centre spaces. In turn the story behind the artwork helps with both telling Dundalk’s story and connecting people to our heritage.
Artistic Concept
Artists should draw on Dundalk’s rich heritage (historically, geographically and mythologically) through their research and design development, to produce a conceptual piece of art.
