  • Graduate jobs, placements and internships
  • Organised by DkIT’s Careers & Employability Centre

A meeting point for talent

Dundalk Institute of Technology reports that its latest careers fair was its biggest so far. Almost 80 employers attended, introducing students to graduate programmes, placements, internships and career paths across a broad range of industries.

Business, engineering, finance, computing, health and social care, education, hospitality and the built environment were represented. The institute’s Careers & Employability Centre organised the fair, connecting employers with students across DkIT’s four schools.

Beyond a single event

DkIT describes a wider careers service that includes guidance, placement support, workshops and application clinics. Its report is a useful starting point for students who missed the fair and employers who want to understand how to connect with the institute.

For Dundalk businesses

Our perspective & suggestions

Our view: skills stories belong alongside shopfronts and visitor attractions. The people starting careers in Dundalk are part of the town’s future, whether they work on a hospitality floor, develop software or join an engineering team.

If you are considering a placement or graduate role, begin with the institute’s careers team and ask about the right route for your organisation. The fair report is evidence of employer participation; it is not a list of jobs that are still open. Check individual opportunities directly.
