A hometown welcome
Andrea, Caroline, Jim and Sharon Corr returned to Dundalk on 29 May for a celebration linking music, public art and the town’s civic life. Louth County Council’s reporting describes a civic reception at An Táin, including a conversation with Dave Fanning and a performance.
The day also connected with a County Museum exhibition. That was a temporary exhibition which ended in June; it should not be treated as a current visitor attraction.

A musical story on the town’s walls
A new Longwalk mural by Mister Copy formed part of the homecoming. The council’s mural announcement identifies Dundalk BID as commissioner, working in partnership with Louth County Council through EPSO.

Make room for the town’s music
Our perspective & suggestionsOur suggestion: use the homecoming as an introduction to Dundalk’s musical identity, then look for a live experience of your own. A small gig, a theatre concert or a local session can give a visit a different rhythm.
Check the current events and nightlife guides for places and dates. The May celebration is part of the town’s recent story; it is not a recurring performance or an invitation to visit a private event. Follow the public art through EPSO and plan any new evening around confirmed listings.
