An autumn invitation
County Museum Dundalk has announced a free programme of family screenings and evening talks. Halloween films run at 2.30pm from 27 to 31 October. November then changes the pace, with a series that invites audiences to think about history, belonging and how identities are formed.
Michael Cronin speaks about island identity on 11 November. A live discussion on history, heritage and identity follows on 12 November, before Ian McBride considers the Northern Ireland peace process on 19 November.

Make a plan before you go

Make it a town-centre afternoon
Our perspective & suggestionsOur suggestion: leave time either side of a screening to explore the town on foot. A museum visit, a coffee and a look around the nearby streets make a different kind of half-term outing. For an evening lecture, check the finish time before arranging dinner or your journey home.
The Tourist Office can help you add a heritage walk to your day. Our events page is another starting point for current listings; ticket availability remains with each organiser.
